Ever wondered how many people lose their lives in any particular horror movie? Well, we've got you covered with THE KILL COUNTER, our hit series takes out the guesswork and counts every death on (and sometimes off) screen. Break out your calculator and try to keep up!
On this week's episode, we take on writer-director Jeremy Saulnier's GREEN ROOM starring Anton Yelchin, Imogen Poots, Alia Shawkat, Joe Cole, Callum Turner, and Patrick Stewart. The movie isn't exactly what some people might call a "horror" film, but all the same, it is one of the most brutal and intense films I've ever seen so it makes the AITH cut today.
The contained thriller centers on
A punk rock band that becomes trapped in a secluded venue after finding a scene of violence. For what they saw, the band themselves become targets of violence from a gang of white power skinheads, who want to eliminate all evidence of the crime.
Personally, Jeremy Saulnier's GREEN ROOM is one of my favorite films of all-time – horror or not. I peeped it a few years back now and have shown it to basically everyone I know. And they always come back to me a few months later (or whatever) and ask, "What was that one movie with the band and the Nazis/skinheads? I need to see that again!" Amen, dear friends and family. Amen. Snag a copy on Blu-ray over on Amazon RIGHT HERE.
