The Kill Counter: Blade Runner 2049 (Video)

Hey guys, we’re back with yet another episode of the JoBlo original video series THE KILL COUNTER! In this series, we count out any and all kills (onscreen and off) in some of our favorite movies.

This week we took on BLADE RUNNER 2049!

The sequel was as good as, if not better, than the original and was filled with quite a bit more violence, murder, and mayhem than Ridley Scott’s original classic (which we covered in The Kill Counter HERE).

BLADE RUNNER 2049 synopsis:

Thirty years after the events of the first film, a new blade runner, LAPD Officer K (Ryan Gosling), unearths a long-buried secret that has the potential to plunge what’s left of society into chaos. K’s discovery leads him on a quest to find Rick Deckard (Harrison Ford), a former LAPD blade runner who has been missing for 30 years.

BLADE RUNNER 2049 is directed by Denis Villeneuve from a script by Hampton Fancher (who wrote the original) and Michael Green. The script is based off a story by Hampton Fancher, which is in turn based on the original film’s source material “Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep?” by Phillip K. Dick.

The film stars Ryan Gosling, Harrison Ford, Ana de Armas, Dave Bautista, Jared Leto, Robin Wright, Mackenzie Davis, Edward James Olmos, David Dastmalchian, Lennie James, Barkhad Abdi, Sylvia Hoeks, Hiam Abbass, Carla Juri, David Benson, Ellie Wright, and Kingston Taylor.

BLADE RUNNER 2049 is now available on 4K Ultra HD, 3D Blu-ray, Blu-ray, and DVD.
