Last week’s Halloween discussion was definitely a very enthusiastic one. I loved it! This week, we are going to shift gears slightly. It’s definitely going to be appropriate for the season though. This week, we will chat about one of my favorite horror anthologies ever released. This week, we chat about Michael Dougherty’s Trick ‘R Treat!
Ever since just about a year ago, yours truly has been hosting The JoBlo Sunday Night Movie Chat every Sunday night at 7pm EST. We’ve chatted about many awesome flicks such as The Shining, Shaun of the Dead, Gremlins, and Die Hard. It’s a great opportunity to discuss the flicks we all love with your fellow schmoes live. Opinions will be shared. Thoughts will be provoked. Fun will be had by all.
All you need to do is head to OUR CHATROOM at 7pm EST and make sure to log in with your MFC username. Come prepared with talking points or questions, or feel free to just hang out and and see what everyone else is discussing. The regulars are extremely friendly people that will definitely make you feel welcome. And believe me, they are very, very cool schmoes.
And please remember this. Be respectful of others and their opinions during the chat. It’s great to have multiple opinions of movies in the chat. I love that. What I don’t love is for people to be insulted or badmouthed about their opinions. Directly insulting someone will not be put up with.
I am a huge fan of great horror anthologies. Trick ‘R Treat is one of the best I’ve ever seen and it’s a hell of a lot of fun. The way Dougherty interweaves the four stories together is nothing short of brilliant if you ask me. With a very clever script, fantastic cinematography, a great cast and some very memorable characters, this is the perfect flick to get you into the Halloween spirit. If you love a great horror anthology with clever twists, then you will definitely want to join us this Sunday at 7 pm EST.
