After two weeks of chatting about Steven Spielberg’s greatness, I figured it was time to talk about a great movie from another acclaimed director. While he isn’t Spielberg, I don’t think anyone can doubt the impact James Cameron has had in Hollywood. The man has made some of the most beloved movies ever made. In my opinion not many action movies can top Cameron’s classic, The Terminator.
Since last October, yours truly has been hosting The JoBlo Sunday Night Movie Chat every Sunday night at 7pm EST. We’ve chatted about many awesome flicks such as Commando, The Expendables, Aliens and Drive. It’s a great opportunity to discuss the flicks we all love with your fellow schmoes live. Opinions will be shared. Thoughts will be provoked. Fun will be had by all.
All you need to do is head to OUR CHATROOM at 7pm EST and make sure to log in with your MFC username. Come prepared with talking points or questions, or feel free to lurk and and see what everyone else is discussing. The regulars are extremely friendly people that will definitely make you feel welcome. And believe me, they are very, very cool schmoes.
And please remember this. Be respectful of others and their opinions during the chat. It’s great to have multiple opinions of movies in the chat. I love that. What I don’t love is for people to be insulted or badmouthed about their opinions. Directly insulting someone will not be put up with.
I can watch The Terminator any time and never be bored by it. Cameron’s directing style was picture perfect for this movie. Michael Biehn and Linda Hamilton rocked it as the heroes of this story and their chemistry was undeniable. Arnold Schwarzenegger was incredibly menacing as the title character. And when you throw in the iconic score and effects by the one and only Stan Winston, you get one hell of a great movie. So join us this Sunday at 7 pm EST!
