The JoBlo Sunday Night Movie Chat: Spaceballs

It’s been a lot of fun chatting about Marvel the past two weeks, but it’s time to change it up a bit. This week, we go back a truly classic comedy. This week, we are going to discuss one of the most quotable movies ever made. This week’s chat is for the Mel Brooks classic, Spaceballs!

Your’s truly has been hosting The JoBlo Sunday Night Movie Chat for two years now and it’s showing no signs of slowing down anytime soon! Each week, we discuss either a movie, a series of movies, or something really damn awesome in the movies(like last week!). Like a great Scotch, it has only been getting better with age.

All you need to do is head to OUR CHATROOM at 7pm EST and make sure to log in with your MFC username and password. You are encouraged to bring up comments or questions about the movie at hand, or feel free to just hang out and and see what everyone else is chatting about. The regulars are extremely friendly people that will definitely make you feel welcome. And believe me, they are very, very cool schmoes.

And please remember this. Be respectful of others and their opinions during the chat. It’s great to have multiple opinions of movies in the chat. I love that. What I don’t love is for people to be insulted or badmouthed about their opinions. It’s meant to be fun. Directly insulting someone and/or trolling people will get you kicked from the chat.

Mel Brooks has always been one of my favorite filmmakers. His style of screwball, slapstick humor just tickles me in all the right places. I’ve been wanting to hold a chat for one of his movies for awhile now and Spaceballs is the perfect movie to debut him in the chat. Not only is it endlessly quotable, it is simply one of the funniest movies I’ve ever seen.
