The JoBlo Sunday Night Movie Chat: Serenity

With Joss Whedon’s recent successes, I can’t help but think why not have another edition of The JoBlo Sunday Night Movie Chat that celebrates his work? I’ve been wanting to hold this chat for a long time now and this feels like the perfect opportunity. This weekend, we discuss Serenity!

Since last October, yours truly has been hosting The JoBlo Sunday Night Movie Chat every Sunday night at 7pm EST. We’ve chatted about many great flicks including The Avengers, Ghostbusters, the Lord of the Rings trilogy, and Terminator 2. It’s a great chance to discuss flicks with your fellow schmoes live. Maybe even learn a thing or two from your fellow schmoes about the movies you love.

All you need to do is head to OUR CHATROOM at 7pm EST and log in with your MFC username. Come prepared with talking points or questions, or feel free to lurk and and see what everyone else is discussing.

While I am a fan of Whedon’s Buffy and Angel shows, Firefly was the one that made me a true fan of the man. To get the chance to return to the characters from that show in Serenity is something most horribly abused shows never get to even dream of. It doesn’t hurt that it’s simply a fantastic sci-fi flick with a unique setting. And honestly, who doesn’t love River Tam?
