Last week’s JAWS chat was so great, I could only follow it up with another Spielberg classic. It’s the perfect time for a chat about Raiders of the Lost Ark, seeing as it’s getting the IMAX treatment next week. But I’m going to level with you. The real reason I want to chat about this movie isn’t because it’s going to be in IMAX theaters, although that is nice and you better believe I’m seeing it. No, the real reason is much, much simpler.
Since last October, yours truly has been hosting The JoBlo Sunday Night Movie Chat every Sunday night at 7pm EST. We’ve chatted about many awesome flicks such as Cloverfield, The Lord of The Rings trilogy, The Big Lebowski and Shaun of the Dead. It’s a great opportunity to discuss the flicks we all love with your fellow schmoes live. Opinions will be shared. Thoughts will be provoked. Fun will be had by all.
All you need to do is head to OUR CHATROOM at 7pm EST and make sure to log in with your MFC username. Come prepared with talking points or questions, or feel free to lurk and and see what everyone else is discussing. The regulars are extremely friendly people that will definitely make you feel welcome. And believe me, they are very, very cool schmoes.
And please remember this. Be respectful of others and their opinions during the chat. It’s great to have multiple opinions of movies in the chat. I love that. What I don’t love is for people to be insulted or badmouthed about their opinions. Directly insulting someone will not be put up with.
Raiders of the Lost Ark is classic and for great reason. We’ve got Harrison Ford being the badass we know him to be. We’ve a score from John Williams that just gets your blood pumping. Most importantly, it’s got snakes. Why did there have to be snakes? But seriously, what is there not to like? Action Adventure doesn’t get much better than this, folks. The JoBlo Sunday Night Movie Chat, like Raiders, is going to be a wild ride. So join us this Sunday at 7 pm EST!
