For you folks in Britain who were outraged by the banning of THE HUMAN CENTIPEDE 2 FULL SEQUENCE, you can relax, the BBFC have reversed the ban.
Oh yes you are reading that correctly, the film has been rated and it will be allowed to be shown. So what happened? Well writer/director Tom Six got the rights to show it in Britain after he removed around 2 minutes and 37 seconds of footage.
The board stated the that ”the distributor was required to make 32 individual cuts to scenes of sexual and sexualized violence, sadistic violence and humiliation, and a child presented in an abusive and violent context.”
Laurence R. Harvey, Ashlynn Yennie (below), Maddi Black, Dominic Borrelli, Kandace Caine, Lucas Hansen, Dan Burman, Bill Hutchens, Georgia Goodrick, Lee Nicholas Harris, Emma Lock, Peter Blankenstein, Katherine Templar, Vivien Bridson and Daniel Jude Gennis all feature.
Martin is a mentally disturbed loner who lives with his mother in a bleak housing project. He works the night shift as a security guard in an equally grim and foreboding underground parking complex. To escape his dreary existence, Martin loses himself in the fantasy world of the cult horror film THE HUMAN CENTIPEDE FIRST SEQUENCE (2009), fetishizing the meticulous surgical skills of the gifted Dr. Heiter, whose knowledge of the human gastrointestinal system inspires Martin to attempt the unthinkable.
The film will hit theaters tomorrow in limited release, and keep an eye out for a review on the site. You can hit up Mike Sampson’s review here.
