The Hitman's Wife's Bodyguard has released its first full trailer after offering us a funny teaser a month ago and it looks like Ryan Reynolds, Samuel L. Jackson, and Salma Hayek are ready to reunite for more laughs and plenty of action.
The Hitman's Wife's Bodyguard takes place four years after the original film and finds bodyguard Michael Bryce (Reynolds) continuing his friendship with assassin Darius Kincaid (Jackson) as they embark on a new adventure to save Sonia (Hayek), Darius's wife, from new threats. Directed by Patrick Hughes, the film also stars Frank Grillo, Richard E. Grant, Tom Hopper, Antonio Banderas, and Morgan Freeman.
Released in 2017, The Hitman's Bodyguard was a bit of a surprise hit when it hit theaters in August. The film remained number one at the box office for three weeks in a row and ultimately grossed $75.5 million domestically and $176.6 million globally. The film received mixed reviews from critics, scoring a 43% rotten score on Rotten Tomatoes but the movie was clearly a hit with moviegoers, and a sequel was greenlit in May of 2018.
