When asked what their favorite Wes Craven movie is, I have a feeling that most genre fans would either say A Nightmare on Elm Street or Scream (with a healthy dose of New Nightmare answers in there as well). For me, the answer would be Craven’s 1977 cannibal family classic The Hills Have Eyes (watch it HERE) – so I’m happy to hear that Arrow Video is planning to bring The Hills Have Eyes to 4K Ultra HD in the U.S., the U.K., and Canada on November 9th. Copies are already available for pre-order from DiabolikDVD.
Starring Susan Lanier, Robert Houston, John Steadman, Janus Blythe, Martin Speer, Russ Grieve, Virginia Vincent, Dee Wallace, James Whitworth, Lance Gordon, Cordy Clark, Peter Locke, and genre icon Michael Berryman, The Hills Have Eyes has the following synopsis:
Taking an ill-advised detour en route to California, the Carter family soon run into trouble when their campervan breaks down in the middle of the desert. Stranded, the family find themselves at the mercy of a group of monstrous cannibals lurking in the surrounding hills. With their lives under threat, the Carters have no choice but to fight back by any means necessary.
