Focus Features has released a new trailer for THE HIGH NOTE and the music-filled feel-good comedy also brings with it a premiere date for when it will be available on demand.
Starring Dakota Johnson and Tracee Ellis Ross, THE HIGH NOTE will premiere at home on demand on May 29, 2020. The film was originally scheduled for a theatrical release on May 8, 2020, but it was scrapped due to the COVID-19 pandemic which has resulted in many film delays and postponements across the studios. You can check out Tracee Ellis Ross' video announcement below:
THE HIGH NOTE is set in the dazzling world of the Los Angeles music scene and follows Grace Davis (Ross), a music superstar whose talent and ego have reached epic heights. Dakota Johnson plays Maggie, her overworked personal assistant who aspires to be a music producer. Grace's manager (Ice Cube) soon presents her with a choice that could change her career & Maggie and Grace also come up with a plan that could change their lives forever. The film also stars Kelvin Harrison Jr., Zoe Chao, Eddie Izzard, June Diane Raphael, Bill Pullman & Diplo.
This looks like it could entertaining and I definitely dig the main cast. It seems like a perfect film for streaming too if a new theatrical release wasn't exactly in the cards. THE HIGH NOTE will be available on demand for a 48-hour rental period for $19.99 on May 29, 2020.
