In a new first-look clip for Marvel's LUKE CAGE Season 2, the Hero of Harlem is met with complaints from his neighbors who feel that the bulletproof badass isn't doing enough for the citizens of New York. While it's often difficult for people to comprehend that one person can't be all things to all people, that's not about to keep Luke from doing his best to defend those who cannot fight for themselves. It's a tough beat to walk, though Cage does it with his spirits high and a slick funk-inspired soundtrack to add rhythm to his every step.
Here's what you can expect when Marvel's LUKE CAGE returns to Netflix for Season 2:
After clearing his name, Luke Cage (Mike Colter) has become a celebrity on the streets of Harlem with a reputation as bulletproof as his skin. But being so well known has only increased the pressure he feels to protect the community. With the rise of a formidable new foe, Luke is forced to confront the fine line that separates a hero from a villain.
Bursting onto Netflix beginning on June 22nd, the second season of Luke Cage stars Mike Colter, Simone Missick, Alfre Woodard, Theo Rossi, Rosario Dawson, Mustafa Shakir, and Gabrielle Dennis.
Additionally, the newest season of Marvel's man of steel will feature the return of Faith Evans and D-Nice who both appeared in the first season along with new arrivals Joi, Gary Clark Jr., Esperanza Spalding, Ghostface Killah, Christone “Kingfish” Ingram, Stephen Marley, Jadakiss, KRS-One, and Rakim. Each musical artist will enter the show as themselves for special cameo performances or character roles.
Bring it on, Luke!
