I don't know if you know this about me, but I'm not inherently against remakes. I'm looking forward to director Luca Guadagnino's redo of Dario Argento's SUSPIRIA, and to a lesser degree, I'm looking forward to THE EYES OF MY MOTHER director Nicolas Pesce's upcoming remake of THE GRUDGE.
Which is now simply called GRUDGE.
And if you're looking forward to the upcoming reboot as much as I am, then you might be interested to know that not only has the film begun shooting, but the movie's social media pages are up-and-running as well. Now if you want to stalk their profiles along with the rest of us horror journalists out there, feel free! You can follow the film on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram by clicking the embedded links.
The remake stars Andrea Riseborough, Demian Bichir, John Cho, Lin Shaye, Betty Gilpin, Jacki Weaver, William Sadler (TALES FROM THE CRYPT: DEMON KNIGHT), and Frankie Faison, who you may know as Barney from THE SILENCE OF THE LAMBS and HANNIBAL. Plot details are also being kept under wraps, but THE GRUDGE followed the tale of
A mysterious and vengeful spirit marks and pursues anybody who dares enter the house in which it resides.
GRUDGE is a collaboration between Ghost House and Good Universe (DON'T BREATHE) and is all scheduled to creep and crawl its way into your local multiplex on August 16, 2019.
