The Girl in the Mirror trailer: Spanish horror mystery series comes to Netflix in August

A Spanish horror mystery series called The Girl in the Mirror is coming to the Netflix streaming service on August 19th, and with the show’s premiere just one month away a trailer has been arrived online. You can check it out in the embed above.

Created, directed, and written by Sergio G. Sánchez, The Girl in the Mirror (which was originally titled Alma) comes to us from Sospecha Films. The show has the following synopsis:

After surviving a bus accident in which almost all her classmates die, Alma wakes up in a hospital with no memory of the incident… or of her past. Her house is full of memories that are not hers, and both amnesia and trauma cause her to experience night terrors and visions that she cannot clarify. With the help of her parents and friends, unknown to her, she will try to uncover the mystery surrounding the accident while struggling to recover her life and her identity.

The first season is said to consist of ten episodes. The cast includes Mireia Oriol (The Art of Return), Álex Villazán (Caronte), Pol Monen (Who Would You Take to a Deserted Island?), Maria Caballero (The Longest Night), and Javier Morgade (El nudo).

Sánchez has previously written the sci-fi thriller The End, the romantic drama Palm Trees in the Snow, and the J.A. Bayona films The Orphanage and The Impossible. He also wrote and directed the 2017 horror film Marrowbone, which starred George MacKay, Anya Taylor-Joy, Charlie Heaton, and Mia Goth.

I haven’t seen Marrowbone, but The Girl in the Mirror looks interesting to me. I will probably be checking this show out on Netflix at some point. Will you be watching The Girl in the Mirror? What did you think of the trailer? Share your thoughts on this one by leaving a comment below.
