The fuse is lit in the character posters for Mission: Impossible – Fallout

With the exception of MISSION: IMPOSSIBLE 2 (and hell, even that one has its moments), the MISSION: IMPOSSIBLE series is one of the most consistently entertaining franchises out there, and the upcoming MISSION: IMPOSSIBLE – FALLOUT looks like another spectacular addition to the series. Getting to witness Tom Cruise thrust himself into a handful of death-defying situations for our amusement never gets old, and he always brings along a great ensemble to back him up. We've got a fresh batch of character posters for MISSION: IMPOSSIBLE – FALLOUT, and although they aren't anything special, they're still enough to keep me pumped for the upcoming film.

Behold! Tom Cruise, Henry Cavill, Rebecca Ferguson, Simon Pegg, Angela Bassett, Sean Harris, Vanessa Kirby, Ving Rhames, and Alec Baldwin! Not a bad cast, not bad at all.

The official synopsis for MISSION: IMPOSSIBLE – FALLOUT:

The best intentions often come back to haunt you. MISSION: IMPOSSIBLE – FALLOUT finds Ethan Hunt (Tom Cruise) and his IMF team (Alec Baldwin, Simon Pegg, Ving Rhames) along with some familiar allies (Rebecca Ferguson, Michelle Monaghan) in a race against time after a mission gone wrong.  Henry Cavill, Angela Bassett, and Vanessa Kirby also join the dynamic cast with filmmaker Christopher McQuarrie returning to the helm.

MISSION: IMPOSSIBLE – FALLOUT will hit theaters on July 27, 2018.
