UPDATED: International trailer added!
RESIDENT EVIL: THE FINAL CHAPTER has been all up in the news lately, teasing its teaser, and shedding posters, images, and videos like those mini-monsters in CLOVERFIELD. But all that has been leading up to the official full trailer, which has finally dropped today!
The three minute teaser shows Milla Jovovich's return to Racoon City, which is far from a paradise. I can't say I'm caught up on this ever-sprawling franchise, but this teaser is pretty action-packed and looks like some silly popcorn fun. Check it out below! Also, see the new poster, which is much cooler than the HUNGER GAMES pastiche we got earlier this week.
Written and directed by Paul W.S. Anderson, THE FINAL CHAPTER picks up immediately after the events of the previous film, RESIDENT EVIL: RETRIBUTION, and
finds humanity is on its last legs. Alice must return to Raccoon City, where the Umbrella Corporation is preparing for a final strike against the survivors of the apocalypse.
In a race against time Alice will join forces with old friends, and an unlikely ally, in an action packed battle with undead hordes and new mutant monsters. Between losing her superhuman abilities and Umbrella’s impending attack, this will be Alice’s most difficult adventure as she fights to save humanity, which is on the brink of oblivion.
Milla Jovovich, Ali Larter, Iain Glen, Shawn Roberts, Ruby Rose, Eoin Macken, William Levy, Fraser James, Rola, and Lee Joon-gi star.
RESIDENT EVIL: THE FINAL CHAPTER is set for release on January 17, 2017.
