SPIDER-MAN: FAR FROM HOME wraps things up fairly nicely for Spidey (Tom Holland), but much of that comes crashing down in the film's mid-credit scene when J. Jonah Jameson (J.K. Simmons) of TheDailyBugle.net broadcasts doctored footage from the attacks on London which frames Spider-Man for both the drone attack and the death of Quentin Beck (Jake Gyllenhaal). If that weren't bad enough, Jameson goes one step further and exposes Spider-Man's secret identity to the world. We don't get to see the report played out in full in SPIDER-MAN: FAR FROM HOME, but Sony Pictures have now released the whole deal for our viewing pleasure. More J.K. Simmons is never a bad thing.
This bombshell will likely have huge ramifications for the third SPIDER-MAN film, and thanks to Disney and Sony making peace, we'll actually get to see it. Jon Watts, who helmed both HOMECOMING and FAR FROM HOME, is expected to return to direct the third film as well, which is already slated for a July 16, 2021 release.
SPIDER-MAN: FAR FROM HOME is now available on Digital/DVD/Blu-ray/4K Ultra HD.
