Fox gave the all important green light to The Frankenstein Code (formerly Frankenstein), a new series executive produced by Howard Gordon, reports Deadline. Taking inspiration from the basic Mary Shelley mythology of a man brought back to life by scientists playing god, The Frankenstein Code, written/executive produced by Crisis and Life creator Rand Ravich, centers on…
Jimmy Pritchard (Rob Kazinsky), a morally corrupt retired cop given a second chance at life when he is brought back from the dead. Now younger and stronger, Pritchard will have to choose between his old temptations and his new sense of purpose.
Described as a grounded sci-fi drama, Frankenstein had a lot going for it, bringing Gordon back to his genre roots of The X-Files, Buffy The Vampire Slayer and Angel and teaming him with Ravich and Michael Cuesta who came on board to direct and executive produce. This marks the latest pilot helmed by Cuesta to go to series, joining Homeland, executive produced by Gordon, as well as Dexter, Blue Bloods and Elementary.
Dilshad Vadsaria, Adhir Kalyan, Tim DeKay and Ciara Bravo co-star.
