The Force Awakens products to be unveiled in a global 18-hour live unboxing

I know people love them some Star Wars toys but spending 18-hours to unveil the new STAR WARS: THE FORCE AWAKENS products in a global live unboxing event? That seems a tad bit extreme, but hey, it's Star Wars. The event, which was announced on the official Star Wars site, will kick off in Sydney, Australia on September 3, 2015 before continuing on through Asia, Europe, Canada, and North and South America leading up to retailers across the globe opening their doors at midnight for Force Friday.

Star Wars toys have always played an important role in how our fans interact with the saga, they’ve inspired multiple generations to relive the experience of the movies and to create new adventures all their own. These spectacular Star Wars: The Force Awakens products will continue that tradition.

Those wishing to kick back for 18-hours and watch other people open Star Wars toys will be able to head on over to the Star Wars YouTube channel to witness the madness. As just about every single character from the first six Star Wars films has been made into a toy, I can't imagine how excited retailers everywhere got when a new Star Wars trilogy, as well as a series of spin-offs, was announced. We're going to be neck-deep in Star Wars merch for the next twenty years folks, prepare yourselves!
