Well, casting for season 3 of The Following has gotten underway, and it looks like Kevin Bacon’s lead character will have a new love interest moving forward.
Deadline is reporting that Zuleikha Robinson (pictured) has joined the cast of The Following. She’ll play the pivotal role of Gwen, an ER doctor and the mother of a seven year old girl. She is also the love of FBI Agent Hardy’s (Kevin Bacon) life — and his first real chance at a family and true happiness. Though their partnership is rock solid — it will be seriously challenged by the dark conspiracy that is putting New York City under siege and reigniting Ryan’s personal obsession with ending it.
Robinson is coming off a hot stint on Homeland, and also has recurring work on Rome and Lost under her belt. And now she’s one degree from the Bacon!
The Following returns in early 2015.
