It’s alive! Tim Burton’s FRANKENWEENIE debuts its first trailer and it looks like what you’d expect, which is awesome. If you’re a fan of stop-motion animation and/or Tim Burton then this is tailor made for your sensibilities. Literally.

Although I wasn’t floored by CORPSE BRIDE, you can’t help but appreciate every frame of detail that goes into films like FRANKENWEENIE and NIGHTMARE BEFORE CHRISTMAS. It’s really an amazing process to watch in motion and I actually prefer it over CGI animated films (although I still enjoy them as well).
Here’s the synopsis for the film:
After unexpectedly losing his beloved dog Sparky, young Victor harnesses the power of science to bring his best friend back to life — with just a few minor adjustments. He tries to hide his home-sewn creation, but when Sparky gets out, Victor’s fellow students, teachers and the entire town all learn that getting a new “leash on life” can be monstrous.
FRANKENWEENIE is resurrected on October 5, 2012.
