Filmmaker Robert Zemeckis has ditched the dead-eyed mocap he’s clung to for years now and returned to living, human actors on celluloid for his latest project FLIGHT starring Denzel Washington. Below we have the film’s first trailer and poster, and while the film looks like it has the potential to be a nice return to form for Zemeckis, that last shot also happens to be pretty unintentionally hilarious. Not sure if that’s an ill omen or what.
FLIGHT – starring Washington, John Goodman, Don Cheadle, James Badge Dale, Melissa Leo, and Bruce Greenwood – opens November 2nd.
Synopsis: In this action-packed mystery thriller, Academy Award winner Denzel Washington stars as Whip Whitaker, a seasoned airline pilot who miraculously crash-lands his plane after a mid-air catastrophe, saving nearly every soul on board. After the crash, Whip is hailed as a hero, but as more is learned, more questions than answers arise as to who or what was really at fault, and what really happened on that plane?
