The first trailer for Christopher Nolan’s Tenet will test your faith

Tenet: a principle of belief, especially one of the main principles of a religion or philosophy.

While this is the dictionary definition of the word, it also happens to be the title for director Christopher Nolan's upcoming film. Nolan is well regarded for keeping the plots of his movies well hidden so it comes as no surprise that the only information we know of TENET thus far is that it's "an action epic evolving from the world of international espionage." Additionally, there's been some talk that the film may involve time travel.

Putting aside the cryptic descriptions and speculation, Warner Bros. finally released an official trailer for the upcoming film and man it's…something. Seriously, what in the Hell is going on here? People moving backwards? Bullet holes showing up before they happen? I need to know now!

If you're looking for more TENET goodness, the IMAX showing of THE RISE OF SKYWALKER is featuring a full prologue to the film for your viewing pleasure. Fans may recall that this is not the first time Christopher Nolan has pulled something like this. The Academy Award nominated director did the same thing in 2011, showing a prologue for THE DARK KNIGHT RISES in front of MISSION IMPOSSIBLE: GHOST PROTOCOL.

TENET starring John David Washington, Elizabeth Debicki, Robert Pattinson, Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Kenneth Branagh, and Clémence Poésy hits theaters July 17, 2020.

So what did you guys think of the trailer? Are you pumped? Are you just as uncertain about what the Hell this film is about as you were before? Sound off in the comments below!
