Warner Bros. and DC have unleashed the final trailer for director James Wan's AQUAMAN, giving us one of our best looks yet at the upcoming action-packed adventure that spans the vast, visually stunning underwater world of the seven seas. DC's delve into the depths reveals the origin story of half-human, half-Atlantean Arthur Curry (Jason Momoa) and takes him on the journey of his lifetime—one that will not only force him to face who he really is, but to discover if he is worthy of who he was born to be…a king.
Joining Momoa for his solo under the sea shenanigans are Amber Heard as the commanding, calculated, and badass Princess Mera, Nicole Kidman as Queen Atlanna, Willem Dafoe as Nuidis Vulko, and Patrick Wilson as Orm/Ocean Master. Also set to star in DC's battle for the barnacal-covered throne are Dolph Lundgren as King Nereus, Randall Park as Dr. Stephen Shin, Djimon Hounsou as The Fisherman King, Temuera Morrison as Thomas Curry, and Yahya Abdul-Mateen II as David Kane/Black Manta.
In the new trailer, we get to see plenty of Arthur's underwater kingdom of Atlantis, as well as many of the players who are either for or against the aquatic avenger's rise to power. Moreso, we're treated to a glimpse of some of the majestic and intimidating creatures of the unknown, many of which are at Arthur's command through his often-joked-about "fish powers." Here's the thing, though. I suspect that many Aquaman naysayers will find themselves silenced after viewing this film, as I have it on very good authority that it's a thrilling ride from beginning to end.
