The Falcon and the Winter Soldier, premiere, Disney+, Marvel

The Falcon and the Winter Solider premiered on Disney+ last Friday, and as you might imagine, quite a few people watched the first episode of the series; in fact, Disney revealed today that The Falcon and the Winter Soldier ranks as the most watched series premiere ever on Disney+ during its opening weekend. While Disney didn't give any viewership numbers, they did say that the premiere now joins the premiere of WandaVision and the season two premiere of The Mandalorian as the three most watched Disney+ Original series opening weekends to date. Not bad company.

The Falcon and the Winter Soldier follows Sam Wilson/Falcon (Anthony Mackie) and Bucky Barnes/Winter Soldier (Sebastian Stan) as they team up for a global adventure that tests their abilities — and their patience. The Falcon and the Winter Soldier was helmed by Kari Skogland with Malcolm Spellman serving as head writer, and in addition to Anthony Mackie and Sebastian Stan, the series also stars Daniel Brühl as Zemo, Emily VanCamp as Sharon Carter, and Wyatt Russell as John Walker.

You can check out a review of the premiere of The Falcon and the Winter Soldier from our own Alex Maidy right here, and the second episode of the six-episode series is slated to drop this Friday.
