DC’s strangest group of heroes — Cliff Steele aka Robotman (Brendan Fraser), Larry Trainor aka Negative Man (Matt Bomer), Rita Farr aka Elasti-Woman (April Bowlby), Jane aka Crazy Jane (Diane Guerrero), and Victor Stone aka Cyborg (Joivan Wade) — are back for another season of superhero shenanigans, and we've got the trailer for DOOM PATROL: Season 2 to prove it!
From the sound of it, members of the Doom Patrol will have a bit of growing up to do during their sophomore season … both figuratively and literally. Following the defeat of Mr. Nobody, the members of the Doom Patrol now find themselves mini-sized and stranded on Cliff’s toy race car track. Here they begin to deal with their feelings of betrayal by Niles Caulder aka The Chief (Timothy Dalton), while confronting their own personal baggage. And as each member faces the challenge of growing beyond their own past traumatic experiences, they must come together to embrace and protect the newest member of the family: Dorothy Spinner (Abigail Shapiro), Niles’ daughter, whose powers remain a mysterious but real threat to bringing on the end of the world.
DOOM PATROL is written by Jeremy Carver (SUPERNATURAL), who in addition to his scripting duties also executive produces the series alongside Greg Berlanti, Geoff Johns, and Sarah Schechter.
Before DOOM PATROL has made its February 2019 debut via DC Universe, fans of the ragtag superhero team had hoped that the show would venture into territory that's just as warped as the show's source material. Thankfully, Berlanti anc company delivered the goods and then some by embracing the property's propensity for profanity and donkey portals. What's that? You've no idea what I mean by the term "donkey portals?" My advice is to watch the first season of DOOM PATROL and find out.
