Directors Julien Maury and Alexandre Bustillo’s supernatural horror film The Deep House will be airing on the Epix cable and satellite TV network tonight, November 5th, at 9:35pm Eastern, and in anticipation of the film’s premiere we’ve gotten our hands on a 2 minute clip from it, which shows characters swimming into a submerged haunted house. You can watch the clip in the embed above.
The Deep House centers on
a couple of YouTubers who go diving in a remote French lake and discover a house submerged in deep waters. Their adventure turns into a nightmare when they understand the house harbors atrocious crimes and find themselves trapped with hardly any oxygen left. Their presence has awakened a dark spirit haunting the house.
James Jagger and Camille Rowe star.
Epix is having a horror marathon in the build-up to airing The Deep House. As this article is being written, the network is currently showing Saint Maud. That will be followed by Blair Witch, Paranormal Activity 4, and Spell. The Deep House will air after Spell, then night owl genre fans can stick with Epix for showings of Friday the 13th Part III, Friday the 13th: The Final Chapter, and an episode of the Stephen King-inspired series Chapelwaite. That’ll get you to 3:15am.
If you miss tonight’s airing of The Deep House, it will be on again tomorrow at 12:20pm. It will also be available for digital purchase, courtesy of Paramount Home Entertainment.
The Deep House was a collaboration between Radar Films, Logical Pictures, Apollo Films Distribution, and Forecast Pictures, with the support of Umedia. Clement Miserez and Matthieu Warter produced the film.
I’m a big fan of Maury and Bustillo‘s film Inside, so I’ll watch anything they make. The idea of an underwater haunted house is so unique, I’m really looking forward to checking out The Deep House.
