Super-producer Greg Berlanti's Arrowverse on The CW is slated to grow a little larger as Deadline has reported that the network is now developing a Wonder Girl TV series to join the ranks of Batwoman, Legends of Tomorrow, The Flash, Supergirl, Black Lightning, and the upcoming Superman & Lois.
Dailyn Rodriguez (Queen of the South) will be heading up the project, which she will executive produce alongside Greg Berlanti, Sarah Schechter, and David Madden. The Wonder Girl in question is Yara Flor, "a Latina Dreamer who was born of an Amazonian Warrior and a Brazilian River God, learns that she is Wonder Girl, and with her newfound power must fight the evil forces that would seek to destroy the world." Deadline also notes that this will mark the first Latina superhero title character of a DC TV series.
As far as the rest of The CW's Arrowverse goes, Arrow concluded earlier this year with its eighth and final season, but there's still plenty of Arrowverse to go around as the second season of Batwoman will debut on January 17, 2021, the fourth season of Black Lightning will debut on February 8, 2021, the seventh season of The Flash and the first season of Superman & Lois will debut on February 23, 2021, and the sixth season of Legends of Tomorrow and the sixth and final season of Supergirl will launch mid-2021.
