Fresh off of her Golden Globe and SAG nominations for her role of Lady Diana Spencer in Netflix's The Crown comes the news that Emma Corrin will be joining Harry Styles in My Policeman, a romantic drama in the works for Amazon Studios.

Adapted from the novel of the same name by Bethan Robert, My Policeman takes place in the late 1990s when elderly invalid Patrick comes into the home of Marion and Tom and triggers the exploration of seismic events from forty years ago: the passionate relationship between Tom and Patrick at a time when homosexuality was illegal. Emma Corrin and Harry Styles will star as Marion and Tom, respectively. Ron Nyswaner (Homeland) penned the adapted screenplay which will be directed by Michael Grandage (Genius).

Emma Corrin recently starred alongside Keira Knightley, Keeley Hawes and Gugu Mbatha-Raw in Misbehaviour, a historical drama/comedy which follows a group of women who plan to disrupt the 1970 Miss World beauty competition in London. Corrin is also known for playing Esme Winikus in Pennyworth. As for Harry Styles, he notably starred in Christopher Nolan's Dunkirk and is currently filming Olivia Wilde's physiological drama Don't Worry Darling alongside Florence Pugh and Chris Pine. This is off topic, but does anyone else think Emma Corrin would make for a good Clarice Starling? Yes, I know there's already a Clarice TV series on the way, but one can dream.
