According to Box Office Mojo, it seems that the world is looking for some more horror in their lives for some reason, apparently, as The Conjuring 3: The Devil Made Me Do It is at the top of the box-office at $24 million, beating out another horror sequel The Quiet Place Part II, dropping down from #1 to a still respectable $19.5 million, especially given the circumstances. However, The Quiet Place Part II has currently made $88 million domestically, and over $135 million worldwide. Time will still tell if the new Conjuring – with new director Michael Chaves behind the camera – will have the same legs. Time will tell.
Anyway, here's the official synopsis for The Conjuring 3: The Devil Made Me Do It:
Paranormal investigators Ed and Lorraine Warren take on one of the most sensational cases of their careers after a cop stumbles upon a dazed and bloodied young man walking down the road. Accused of murder, the suspect claims demonic possession as his defense, forcing the Warrens into a supernatural inquiry unlike anything they've ever seen before.
And here's the official synopsis for The Quiet Place Part II:
Following the deadly events at home, the Abbott family must now face the terrors of the outside world as they continue their fight for survival in silence. Forced to venture into the unknown, they quickly realize that the creatures that hunt by sound are not the only threats that lurk beyond the sand path.
