The Conjuring: The Devil Made Me Do It is set to reach theatres and the HBO Max streaming service on June 4th.
In addition to Vera Farmiga, the film also stars Patrick Wilson, reprising the role of Lorraine's husband Ed Warren. Directed by Michael Chaves from a screenplay by David Leslie Johnson-McGoldrick (who crafted the story with producer James Wan), the sequel drops the Warrens into
a chilling story of terror, murder and unknown evil that shocked even experienced real-life paranormal investigators Ed and Lorraine Warren. One of the most sensational cases from their files, it starts with a fight for the soul of a young boy, then takes them beyond anything they’d ever seen before, to mark the first time in U.S. history that a murder suspect would claim demonic possession as a defense.
Ruairi O'Connor, Sarah Catherine Hook, and Julian Hilliard are in the cast as well.
Wan produced the film with Peter Safran. Richard Brener, Dave Neustadter, Victoria Palmeri, Michael Clear, Judson Scott, and Michelle Morrissey served as executive producers.
