The Conjuring 3 might be delayed to haunt us in 2021

This should come as no surprise at this point but, there is a possibility that THE CONJURING: THE DEVIL MADE ME DO IT, which is set for release on September 11, 2020, could be pushed to 2021.

The reason for this is the constant movie release date shuffle of titles like TENET & MULAN as well as movie theaters shifting their re-opening dates in response to those moves. If they push again into September, the third CONJURING film is likely to move. Theater exhibitors & studios will access after July 4 if the current lineup of movies –Solstice Studios’ UNHINGED, TriStar’s BROKEN HEARTS GALLERY, Warner Bros.’ TENET, and Disney’s MULAN, need to move again. This will be determined as a block in another two-week delay for each film as more COVID-19 data unveils itself, if necessary.

As such it would not come as a shocker if the current August release schedule slides into September. Some reports say these release dates with the studios are "as firm as Jell-O". Not a good sign. Just yesterday, California had their indoor theaters close for the next 3 weeks due to COVID-19 spikes. The upside is most indoor theaters from AMC, Regal or Cinemark aren't open yet & moved their re-launch date to the end of July. Hopefully, this will be under control by then and they can safely re-open but only time will tell. New York City, the other huge box office market, also hasn't given a firm date for re-opening as well.

The third CONJURING film reveals a "chilling story of terror, murder and unknown evil that shocked even experienced real-life paranormal investigators Ed and Lorraine Warren. One of the most sensational cases from their files, it starts with a fight for the soul of a young boy, then takes them beyond anything they’d ever seen before, to mark the first time in U.S. history that a murder suspect would claim demonic possession as a defense.” Patrick Wilson and Vera Farmiga return to star as Ed and Lorraine Warren, with Ruairi O’Connor, Sarah Catherine Hook, and Julian Hilliard rounding out the cast.

Do YOU think the film will be delayed?
