The eighth and final season of Game of Thrones concluded last year, bringing the much-celebrated series to an end. While that ending may not have been to everyone's satisfaction, the series still offers a hell of a lot of enjoyment, and if you're looking to rewatch Game of Thrones in the highest quality possible, you might just want to pre-order Game of Thrones: The Complete Collection in 4K.

At the moment, only the first and eighth season of Game of Thrones is available on 4K Ultra HD, but it was announced today that the entire series will be released on the format on November 3, 2020. Along with all 73 episodes of the series, the collection will include over 15 hours of bonus content. Additionally, the collection will also be released in an exclusive limited-edition version at Best Buy which will feature all eight seasons in individual steelbooks and housed in an individually numbered metal case. "We are thrilled to offer Game of Thrones fans an in-home viewing experience worthy of the groundbreaking show with the long-awaited release of Game of Thrones: The Complete Series on 4K Ultra HD," said Rosemary Markson, WBHE Senior Vice President, Television Marketing. "For the first time ever and unavailable anywhere else, loyal fans and collectors will be able to enjoy every extraordinary moment of this iconic show in eye-popping 4K Ultra HD with Dolby Vision HDR. Packed with over 15 hours of special features spanning all 8 seasons and a digital copy of every episode, this collectable set also makes a perfect holiday gift!"

Although audiences may not be quite as thrilled with Game of Thrones as they once were, we've still got more Westeros in our future as the franchise will continue on HBO in the form of House of the Dragon, a prequel series which will be set 300 years before the events of Game of Thrones and will track the beginning of the end for House Targaryen. The ten-episode series is based upon George R.R. Martin's "Fire & Blood," a Targaryen history book which chronicles the history of House Targaryen, starting off with "Aegon the Conqueror, creator of the Iron Throne, and [going on] to recount the generations of Targaryens who fought to hold the throne, all the way up to the civil war, known as the Dance of the Dragons, that nearly tore their dynasty apart." Game of Thrones: The Complete Collection is priced at $254.99 SRP ($289.99 in Canada), while the exclusive steelbook edition is priced at $285.43 SRP ($320.43 in Canada).
