Thanks to that whole ANT-MAN debacle taking up much of Edgar Wright's time over the past few years (which made it all the more heart-breaking when he departed the project), it's been nearly four years since an Edgar Wright film last graced our screens, but the release of BABY DRIVER is thankfully nearly upon us. The high-octane, action-thriller stars Ansel Elgort as a near mute getaway driver with an ear condition named Baby who is coerced by a crime boss known as Doc (Kevin Spacey) into working for him. I've got high hopes that BABY DRIVER will be every bit as stylish and thrilling as the trailers make it seem, so I'll be keeping my fingers crossed almost constantly for the next two weeks. In the meantime, I suppose we'll have to make due with these damn cool BABY DRIVER character posters.
The official synopsis for BABY DRIVER:
A talented, young getaway driver (Ansel Elgort) relies on the beat of his personal soundtrack to be the best in the game. When he meets the girl of his dreams (Lily James), Baby sees a chance to ditch his criminal life and make a clean getaway. But after being coerced into working for a crime boss (Kevin Spacey), he must face the music when a doomed heist threatens his life, love and freedom.
BABY DRIVER is set to hit theaters on June 28th.
