THE BYE BYE MAN, the new paranormal thriller from HOOD OF HORROR director Stacy Title, has finally dropped its first trailer. Although the intro is a little too grim for the movie's apparent tone and that "based on a true story" tag is a load of hogwash, it looks like a skilled entry in the still rampant supernatural genre, somewhere between the end of NIGHTMARE ON ELM STREET and the beginning of NIGHTMARE ON ELM STREET 2. Check it out below!
THE BYE BYE MAN is about:
Three college students who move off-campus and unwittingly unleash a supernatural entity.
The three college students will be played by Douglas Smith (STAGE FRIGHT), Cressida Bonas, and Lucien Laviscount (Scream Queens).
The film also stars Carrie-Anne Moss (THE MATRIX), Faye Dunaway (BONNIE AND CLYDE, CHINATOWN, and no I'm not kidding), Michael Trucco (WISHMASTER 4), and Doug Jones (PAN'S LABYRINTH) as the titular entity.
THE BYE BYE MAN will say hello to theaters on June 3, 2016, pushed forward from October, which is generally a good sign.
