Rudeboy Summer is about to be redefined when The Boys Season 3 premiere heads to Amazon for the year’s most sweltering season. Amazon Prime Video unveiled the release date for The Boys Season 3 premiere via the latest broadcast of the Vought News Network. The third chapter of The Boys saga comes to Amazon Prime on Friday, June 3, 2022. New episodes will follow each Friday until the finale on July 8, 2022.
The latest installment from the Vought News Network includes an invasive interview with Jack Quaid’s Hughie Campbell, who wants to set the record straight about FBSA, and its mission to hold superheroes accountable for their actions. Things go off the rails fairly quickly before cutting to a commercial break for Buster Beaver’s Pizza Restaurant, a Chuck-E-Cheese-like money sink for those looking to entertain their kids with bad food and worse video games. After the break, the network’s own Cameron Coleman brings you up to speed on the latest superhero happenings from across the entertainment spectrum. It’s all very funny, fake, and channels the kind of satire that The Boys has become famous for in the past few years.
The Boys Season 3 is packed with stars, including Karl Urban, Jack Quaid, Antony Starr, Erin Moriarty, Dominique McElligott, Jessie T. Usher, Laz Alonso, Chace Crawford, Tomer Capon, Karen Fukuhara, Nathan Mitchell, Colby Minifie, Claudia Doumit, and Jensen Ackles. Laurie Holden, Sean Patrick Flanery, Miles Gaston, Nick Wechsler, Frances Turner, Kristin Booth, and Jack Doolan.
Antony Starr, who plays Homelander on The Boys, has previously teased that the new season will be a big one for fans. “Season 3 is my favorite season for many reasons that I can’t tell you about,” Starr said. “I’m always curious to see what the writers, what these crazy people, are going to cook up, and it’s a pretty great feeling in Season 3 to still be surprised and excited every time you turn a page in the material. All I can say is I truly believe the fans are going to freak out at Season 3… It’s going to be worth it, I promise. You guys are going to gorge feed on this sucker, and the payoff is going to be worth the wait!”
In addition to The Boys Season 3 premiere, the world based on the bestselling comic by Garth Ennis and Darick Robertson is set to be expanded with two new series. The first is a live-action series set at America’s only college built exclusively for young adult superheroes (and run by Vought International). It has also been described as an irreverent, R-rated series that explores the lives of hormonal, competitive Supes as they put their physical, sexual, and moral boundaries to the test, competing for the best contracts in the best cities. Part college show, part Hunger Games — with all the heart, satire, and raunch of The Boys. The live-action series does not have an official title at this time.
The other series is an animated anthology titled The Boys: Diabolical. Consisting of eight episodes, The Boys: Diabolical is set to premiere in 2022 and will focus on untold stories hailing from the rough and tumble world created by Eric Kripke, Evan Goldberg, and Seth Rogen. Writing the new stories are some of Hollywood’s heaviest hitters such as Awkwafina, Garth Ennis, Eliot Glazer, Ilana Glazer, Evan Goldberg, Seth Rogen, Simon Racioppa, Justin Roiland, Ben Bayouth, Andy Samberg, and Aisha Tyler.
