Deadline reports that genre regular Sadie Katz, whose credits include Wrong Turn 6: Last Resort, the Blood Feast remake, and Automation, has founded a production company called See You Next Tuesday Films. Per the report, the plan is “to take control of her career and tell the stories she wanted to tell, focusing on strong female leads who stand and fight rather than flee into the woods to certain death.” Sounds like a good plan, and we wish her the best of luck in this endeavor. Sadie Katz and her company are getting started with the paranormal horror film The Beast Inside, which is now filming.

Directed by Jim Towns, who wrote the screenplay with Katz, The Beast Inside follows

a woman who believes she is possessed by a demon, so a desperate mother must perform a self exorcism before the demon kills her and moves on to her young son.

Katz stars in the film and is joined in the cast by Vernon Wells (The Road Warrior) and Laurene Landon (Maniac Cop).

Jimmy Star and Eileen Shapiro are co-producing The Beast Inside, with Johnny Pasquale and No Mansfield serving as executive producers.

Katz had this to say about the project:

It was important to me to tell more than just a typical possessed woman story, someone who is stuck waiting for someone else to rid her of her demons. Anne, our lead takes matters into her own hands to save herself and her family.”

The producer/star/co-writer has been sharing a steady stream of behind-the-scenes images during the filming of The Beast Inside, including this first look image from her Instagram:
