The Batman: Robert Pattinson has reportedly tested positive for COVID-19

Update: According to Vanity Fair, on the set of THE BATMAN, Robert Pattinson is the crew member who's recently tested positive for the coronavirus. Pattinson's representatives have yet to comment on the matter, though production remains halt,ed nonetheless.

Upon contracting COVID-19, Pattinson will need to self-isolate for at least two weeks while taking steps to rid himself of the potentially deadly virus. As someone who contracted COVID-19 back in March, and continues to deal with heart-related issues as a part of the fallout, I can tell you first-hand that this is no joke. That said, I'm certain that Pattinson is in good hands while under the watchful eye of Warner Bros. and their team of medical experts.

Someone please turn off the Bat-signal and put away the Caped Crusader's wonderful toys because the UK production for Matt Reeves' THE BATMAN has been temporarily paused after a crew member has tested positive for COVID-19. Filming for the hotly-anticipated superhero film resumed three days ago after a 5 1/2 month stall, and now the dreaded coronavirus has struck yet again.

“A member of The Batman production has tested positive for Covid-19 and is isolating in accordance with established protocols.  Filming is temporarily paused,” Warner Bros. said this morning.

No other information is currently available other than that WB is taking every precaution to ensure the health and safety of their cast and crew.

Before Reeves' Batman film took a 5 1/2 month-long hiatus, the filmmaker confirmed that a quarter of the film has been shot. Reeves then used the film's existing footage to stitch together a dark and twisted teaser that debuted during DC Fandome. Naturally, the footage left fans wanting more of Reeves' gritty vision for the Bat, and now excited for the film is higher than it's ever been before. According to sources, Reeves has three months of shooting left to go, so it could be a while before we see more from the director's intriguing take on the Dark Knight's second year as Gotham's pointy-eared vigilante.
