The Batman director Matt Reeves reveals Batmobile first look photos

THE BATMAN director Matt Reeves has graced the internet with a batch of first look images of the Batmobile for his forthcoming Bat-film!

You can check out the oh so sweet images below:

In the photos, we find Robert Pattinson's Bruce Wayne / Batman standing beside what looks to be a hot rod-style Batmobile. For real. This vehicle looks as if Sam and Dean Winchester's Impala made sweet love to Dominic Toretto's 1970 Dodge Charger to produce a sleek and gorgeous machine outfitted with all of the Bat's wonderful toys!

You guys, I think I'm in love with this car.

In the second photo, we get a great view of the Batmobile's tail-end, which is where the vehicle's super-charged engine is housed. Can you imagine the thrusters that are packed into that thing? Also, check out those slanted tail lights! Actually, now that I'm looking at it, does Batman have any room in his back seat for criminals or sidekicks? Oh well, maybe he can just Bat-grapple the bad guys and drag them behind his cherry ride, allowing them hit every pothole and debris-ridden construction zone in Gotham ont he way to Arkham Asylum.

THE BATMAN is currently in production, which has Pattinson playing The Dark Knight opposite Zoe Kravitz as Catwoman, Paul Dano as the Riddler, Jeffrey Wright as Commissioner James Gordon, John Turturro as Carmine Falcone, Jayme Lawson as Bella Reál, Andy Serkis as Alfred Pennyworth, and Colin Farrell as the Penguin.

When it comes to Pattinson's Caped Crusader, THE LIGHTHOUSE actor has said that his version of Bats will be just as “crazy and perverse” as the indie film characters he’s played over the last several years. Upon hearing this, I can't help but recall Michael Keaton's Bruce Wayne screaming "You want to get nuts? Let's get nuts!"

As for Kravitz' take on Catwoman, the MAD MAX: FURY ROAD and DIVERGENT actress previously stated, “I think Catwoman, Selina Kyle represents really strong femininity, and I’m excited to dive into that. I think femininity represents power, and I think it’s a different kind of power than masculine power. That’s something that’s really interesting about Batman and Catwoman. I think Batman represents a very kind of masculine power, and Catwoman represents very feminine power — slightly more complicated, and softer, too. I like the idea that you can be soft, you can be gentle and still be very powerful and still be very dangerous.”

How Selina and Bruce's courtship will be represented in Reeves' film has yet to be seen, though with there being the potential for more Bat-films under the LET ME IN director's watchful eye, we could be in for a delicate dance that lasts all of the Cat's nine lives.

THE BATMAN will swoop into theaters nationwide June 25, 2021.
