New Avengers: Endgame trailer finds the Avengers making their last stand

Surprise, here's the second AVENGERS: ENDGAME trailer. What, you want an explanation?

Okay, a little one. We've known since the drop of the very spoiler-guarded first trailer that none of the other promotional material would cover much more than the movie's opening moments, except maybe some otherwise unrevealing action bits. That was lived up to here, because other than a few scenes that must take place towards the final half the new trailer relies heavily on recalls to the past movies as it builds to end of the line for, perhaps, some of the heroes who have had the biggest impact on the universe. Oh, and Captain Marvel is there now!

Yeah, I got a serious case of the chills. If the goal is to show as little as possible while also teasing the immense amount of scope this outing will have, then this trailer deserves an award. The emotional weight of seeing everything come full circle for some of these characters is tremendous, so showcasing that with flashbacks leading into the present has a huge dramatic effect, and masterfully builds up to the action at the end. Plus we do get plenty of amazing footage we hadn't seen before, and though most of it is not active, the music and the aforementioned dramatic heft is more than enough to get m excitement level to 13. That's right, after going one louder to 11, I'm now at two louder than one louder.
