The Avengers assemble for a Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards Reunion

It has been a big week of sorts for the AVENGERS franchise. AVENGERS: ENDGAME celebrated its one year anniversary on April 26 while AVENGERS: AGE OF ULTRON celebrated five years on May 1. All of this culminated in an AVENGERS reunion that took place at the 2020 Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards, which were held virtually on Saturday, May 2.

The core AVENGERS cast appeared virtually to spread a special message to viewers. In attendance were Scarlett JohanssonMark RuffaloJeremy RennerChris HemsworthChris Evans, and Robert Downey Jr.who reunited to accept the award for Favorite Movie, which ENDGAME won. The video is essentially some solid banter with the cast who display great chemistry even when they aren't physically sharing the screen. After all the banter, Downey Jr. closed things out in a fitting fashion by telling everyone, “Love you 3000.” The reunion video can be viewed below:

On April 28, Endgame directors Joe and Anthony Russo shared new behind-the-scenes videos and photos while celebrating the one-year anniversary of the epic Marvel pic during a watch-along on Twitter and Instagram. Along with the aforementioned anniversaries, IRON MAN also celebrated its 12th anniversary on May 2 and many fans looked back on the film over the weekend since IRON MAN is what kicked off this Cinematic Universe that has become a global phenomenon.

Big MCU week that was capped off with a fun fan win for a blockbuster that seems like it was released ages ago given the current state of affairs regarding COVID-19 and shuttered movie theaters nationwide. The AVENGERS: ENDGAME theatrical experience is definitely one I'm missing now that we can't go to the movies at the moment and I hope we'll get to experience something like it again in the near future.
