The Asylum sets loose undead animals in Zoombies

Last Updated on July 21, 2021

Zombie entertainment rarely deals with the question of whether or not animals can become one of the living dead. Sure, PET SEMATARY showed us the dangers of burying pets in the wrong plot of land, but what would happen if a zombie bit a bonobo on The Walking Dead?

The Asylum has taken note of the animal kingdom's lack of representation in zombie films and has done something about it. On March 1st, they will be releasing a film called ZOOMBIES.

Directed by Glenn R. Miller from a screenplay by Scotty Mullen, the creative team behind THE COED AND THE ZOMBIE STONER (which I would rank as one of The Asylum's bests), ZOOMBIES tells what happens

when a strange virus quickly spreads through a safari park and turns all the zoo animals undead. Those left in the park must stop the creatures before they escape and zombify the whole city.

Marcus Anderson, Kaiwi Lyman, and Kim Nielsen star.

The film's trailer can be seen below, and if it looks like just the sort of zombie movie you've been waiting for the DVD can be pre-ordered on Amazon.
