Cameras are now rolling on ANNABELLE 2, a sequel that not many horror fans seemed to be clamoring for after the poorly received first ANNABELLE, but one which director David F. Sandberg promises will be a substantial improvement over its predecessor.
The script was written by Gary Dauberman, who also wrote part 1, and deals with
a dollmaker and his wife who, 20 years after the death of their little girl, welcome a nun and several orphan girls into their home. Unfortunately, the new guests soon become the targets of the dollmaker’s possessed creation, Annabelle.
To this point, it had been announced that Miranda Otto (pictured below) will be playing the dollmaker's reclusive, disfigured wife, Stephanie Sigman will be nun Sister Charlotte, and Talitha Bateman will be one of the orphans.
Now that the film is in production, the names of a whole lot more cast members have been revealed. They are Anthony LaPaglia (pictured above), Lulu Wilson, Philippa Anne Coulthard, Grace Fulton, Lou Lou Safran, Samara Lee, and Tayler Buck.
LaPaglia aside, these are all young girls, so presumably they will be playing the orphans or their peers.
ANNABELLE 2 will reach theatres in less than eleven months, on May 19, 2017.
