Twenty years have gone by. Much has changed but just as much remains the same. Mark Renton (Ewan McGregor) returns to the only place he can ever call home. They are waiting for him: Spud (Ewen Bremner), Sick Boy (Jonny Lee Miller), and Begbie (Robert Carlyle). Other old friends are waiting too: sorrow, loss, joy, vengeance, hatred, friendship, love, longing, fear, regret, diamorphine, self-destruction and mortal danger, they are all lined up to welcome him, ready to join the dance. It's time to rekindle some of that '90s nostalgia with this new, legacy trailer for T2 TRAINSPOTTING!
When I saw the first trailer for the horribly titled T2 TRAINSPOTTING, I just wasn't feeling it. I thought it was overly reliant on what drew people to the first film, and the visual aesthetic had a made-for-TV feel to it. Some months have passed and the more I think about it, the more I'm warming up to what this film has to offer. After watching this legacy trailer, I'm willing to return to the world of TRAINSPOTTING and see what these beloved characters have been up to!
T2 TRAINSPOTTING will open in NY and LA on March 17th and expand to more theaters throughout the month.
