The vehicular action movie DRIVE is certainly assembling an impressive cast, especially when you factor in the bounteous bosom of the latest addition, “Mad Men” co-star Christina Hendricks. Va-va-VROOM.
The Botticelli-bodied beauty joins her fellow AMC comrade Bryan Cranston (“Breaking Bad”) in the movie, along with Ryan Gosling, Carey Mulligan, Albert Brooks and Oscar Isaac (ROBIN HOOD). A lot of intriguing heavyweight talent for an action flick, but it comes from director Nicolas Winding Refn (BRONSON, PUSHER) so it’s bound to have some swerves to go with these curves.
The LA-based story, adapted from the James Sallis novel, follows a stunt driver (Gosling) who moonlights as a getaway wheelman for hire. Naturally a job goes sour, and he finds himself on the run with a price on his head. Cranston plays the driver’s mentor, Mulligan is the love interest, and Brooks is a notorious mobster.
No word yet on the part that Hendricks will be playing, but it’s a safe bet she’ll draw attention when she’s on screen no matter the role.
