The 2011 Film Independent Spirit Award Nominations have been announced

As the end of the year approaches, so too does the inevitable awards season for 2010’s slate of films. Yesterday, the nominations for the 2011 Film Independent Spirit Awards were announced, and Debra Granik’s WINTER’S BONE came out leading the pack with 7 nominations. Lisa Cholodenko’s THE KIDS ARE ALRIGHT followed with 5 nods while Darren Aronofsky’s BLACK SWAN and John Cameron Mitchell’s RABBIT HOLE both earned 4.

The Spirit Awards, hosted by “Community”‘s Joel McHale (?), will air on IFC on February 26th. The full list of nominees are below. See any notable omissions?
