Peter Capaldi's time as the Doctor will soon be coming to an end, but the actor, who will be making his exit in the upcoming Doctor Who Christmas Special, will be bringing a very special guest along for the ride during his final appearance – the First Doctor. Originally played by the late William Hartnell and now embodied by the great David Bradley, a recently released clip from Twice Upon a Time, seen above, finds the First Doctor entering the TARDIS of Peter Capaldi's Doctor and making no effort to disguise his displeasure of the redesigned interior.
Set to debut on Christmas Day on BBC One, the Doctor Who Christmas Special finds the "two Doctors stranded in a forbidding snowscape, refusing to face regeneration. And a British army captain seemingly destined to die in the First World War, but taken from the trenches to play his part in the Doctor’s story. This is the magical last chapter in the Twelfth Doctor’s epic adventure. He must face his past to decide his future. And the Doctor will realise the resilience of humanity, discovering hope in his darkest frozen moment. It’s the end of an era. But the Doctor’s journey is only just beginning." Who knows exactly what will happen during this final story, but we do know that it will end with Peter Capaldi's Doctor regenerating into Jodie Whittaker's Thirteenth Doctor, setting the stage for a new season of adventures.
