Earlier this week, we heard that filming had wrapped on That’s a Wrap, a giallo thriller from the creative team behind the film Blind (watch it HERE, read my review at THIS LINK) and its upcoming sequel Pretty Boy. An image of the film’s killer was available at the time, but now a few more images have been unveiled (Coming Soon got the first look) and can be seen at the bottom of this article. These images offer not only a slightly different look at the killer, but also the sight of the film’s star Cerina Vincent (Cabin Fever) in character.
Directed by Marcel Walz from a script by Robert L. Lucas and Blind and Pretty Boy screenwriter Joe Knetter, That’s a Wrap has the following synopsis:
Mason Maestro has just directed what he considers to be his masterpiece, a film titled ‘That’s a Wrap’. The cast, Alexis, Lily, Harper, Amber, Lana, Molly, Carter, Stoney, Jamie, and Troy, arrive to the studio excited to celebrate what they just created. But they aren’t the only ones there. Someone has dressed up as Mistress, the slasher in the film, and has decided to make the art real by staging their own highly stylized kill scenes. One by one, the cast disappears until the true nature of the evening is revealed.
Blind and Pretty Boy star Sarah French stars in That’s a Wrap alongside Vincent, and they are joined in the cast by Monique T. Parent (Cuck), Gigi Gustin (Fast and Fierce: Death Race), and Robert Donavan (The Black Room).
That’s a Wrap is the first project that’s coming our way from the newly formed production company Neon Noir, which is headed up by Walz, Knetter, and French.
Walz provided Deadline with the following statement:
I’m so excited to have a colorful giallo slasher as the first movie from our own production company Neon Noir. Everyone involved in this project brought so much love and talent to the table and made the whole process from start to finish something special. I know the audience will see the love in the end product!”
Knetter added:
Since this was the first project we fully produced as Neon Noir we knew we needed to put together the right team to bring it to life. I couldn’t be prouder of the people we got to play with. They are all stars in my book and contributed greatly to making this film something we can all be proud of, both personally and professionally.”
That’s a Wrap is executive produced by Wolfpack Entertainment and Mezek Films, and was shot entirely at Wolfpack Studios in Burbank, California.
