Texas Chainsaw Massacre video game promo goes behind-the-scenes with Kane Hodder and co-stars

Genre icon Kane Hodder (Friday the 13th Part VII: The New Blood) is providing the motion-capture performance for the legendary Leatherface in the Texas Chainsaw Massacre video game Gun Interactive and Sumo Nottingham are developing – and a new promo video has arrived online to give fans a behind-the-scenes look at the motion capture sessions! Hodder is joined at these sessions by co-stars Sean Whalen (The People Under the Stairs), who’s doing the mo-cap performance for The Hitch-hiker; Troy Burgess (Swedish Dicks), doing the mo-cap for The Cook; Kristina Klebe (Don’t Kill It), doing the mo-cap performance for the new killer character Sissy; Dove Meir (Dig), playing the new killer character Johnny; Scout Taylor-Compton (Rob Zombie’s Halloween), doing the mo-cap for all of the female victim characters; and Hunter C. Smith (Lucky), doing the mo-cap for all of the male victim characters. The video is over 13 minutes long, so there’s a lot of interesting stuff in there. You can check it out at the bottom of this article.

Matches of the Texas Chainsaw Massacre video game will pit 4 victim characters against 3 killer characters. The story of the game has the following set-up: When Maria Flores went missing, and local law enforcement seemed to stall out in their search, her younger sister Ana teamed up with some of Maria’s friends from college to pick up the trail. It’s time for you to meet our cast of Victims.

Although Whalen is doing the mo-cap for the Hitch-hiker, Edwin Neal, who played the character in the original Texas Chainsaw Massacre, is providing his voice for the game. It has been said that Damian Maffei (The Strangers: Prey at Night) is also in the game’s cast. You can find out more about the killer characters at THIS LINK and the victim characters HERE.

A release date for the Texas Chainsaw Massacre video game has not yet been announced, but it’s expected to be released sometime in 2023.
