Every time I play the Friday the 13th video game from Gun Interactive, I’m blown away by the attention to detail that went into the recreations of locations from the Friday the 13th movies. There are things in the movies that I had never noticed before that I now notice because I saw them in the video game. Now IGN has released a video that gives an early look at some of the locations from the upcoming Texas Chainsaw Massacre video game – which is coming to us from Gun and Sumo Nottingham – and puts images from the game side-by-side with images from the original Texas Chainsaw Massacre movie (watch it HERE). Once again, Gun has created some stunning recreations of film locations for their video game. You can watch the video at the bottom of this article.
The Texas Chainsaw Massacre video game is set before the events of the original film and has the following set-up:
When Maria Flores went missing, and local law enforcement seemed to stall out in their search, her younger sister Ana teamed up with some of Maria’s friends from college to pick up the trail. It’s time for you to meet our cast of Victims.
Matches of the game will pit four potential victims against three killers. You can read about the victim characters HERE. In addition to the killers from the movie – Leatherface, the Cook, and the Hitch-hiker – the game will also feature killer characters that have been invented specifically for this game.
Genre icon Kane Hodder is providing the motion-capture performance for Leatherface in the Texas Chainsaw Massacre video game, and his co-stars include Scout Taylor-Compton (Rob Zombie’s Halloween), Kristina Klebe (Don’t Kill It), and Sean Whalen (The People Under the Stairs). It hasn’t been said who will be playing which character. Edwin Neal, who played the Hitch-hiker in the original Chainsaw movie, is providing the voice of the character for the game.
